Centre Mandela offers the full range of image-guided sampling techniques — punctures and biopsies — under the direct responsibility of Dr Chérif Benameur, the region's reference interventional radiologist.

Our techniques

CT-guided puncture

Sampling guided by CT scan, indicated for deep or hard-to-reach lesions (lung, bone, abdominal areas).

Ultrasound-guided puncture

Real-time ultrasound-guided sampling, radiation-free, suited to many locations (thyroid, breast, lymph nodes, liver).

Guided biopsy

Sampling of a tissue fragment for pathological analysis, performed under CT or ultrasound depending on lesion location.
